Valentino is a joyful five-year-old boy with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He is deaf and nonverbal — he has never heard a voice or spoken a word. Your financial gift will help fund life-changing cochlear implants, giving Valentino the opportunity to hear, develop speech, and connect with the world around him.
Through Voice of Grace, Valentino has already received a ProSlate 10 speech device along with hands-on training for his family and speech therapist. During our visit, we learned that cochlear implant surgery could allow Valentino to hear for the very first time, opening the door to language, learning, communication, and deeper connection with others.
Because Valentino has never been able to hear sound, he has never had the opportunity to develop spoken language. Right now, a lack of financial resources stands between Valentino and this life-changing opportunity.
